About the Crew

Vance Runnels began selling advertising for Down On The Farm Radio in January 2004 after having been in the livestock and farm equipment magazine business for twelve years. Vance grew up in the Devine, TX area on a cow/calf operation and graduated from Tarleton State University in 1991 with a B.S. in Agricultural Services and Development. He served as editor and advertising representative for Gulf Coast Cattleman and Texas Farmer-Stockman and later became territory sales manager for Fastline Publications. Vance is a licensed auctioneer and continues to call livestock and equipment auctions throughout the area.

Gail Voelkel is the production assistant for Down on the Farm and its associated programs. She is a graduate of The University of The Incarnate Word with a B.A. in Mass Communications-Production and has an A.A. in New Media Communications from Northwest Vista College. Gail is a valuable asset to Down on the Farm.
